Fishing

Fishing is one of America’s favorite past times and one of our favorite things to do when we are not hunting. Unlike a lot of fishermen that have expensive boats and equipment to match, we primarily focus on catching fish without spending a fortune. Our favorite methods focus on fishing with trot lines for catfish, corks & crickets for bream, and a sinkers & shiners for crappie. This page is about sharing old simple methods for filling up your ice chests for fish-fries on the weekend.

Creek fishing during the fall from a kayak

During the fall, we are often focused on deer hunting. But what about the days when the deer are not moving or when the weather is a little warm? Warm slow days present perfect opportunities to take a peaceful float down the creek with a rod and real.

Crappie fishing during the fall

The fall season is one of the best times in the year to catch fish. Crappie tend to school in massive numbers during the fall. This phenomenon gives crappie anglers a great opportunity to fill their freezers.
